Jennifer Anderson

Jennifer Anderson started fundraising as a Girl Scout selling cookies! That is when the fund development bug bit her. Today, she is equally enthusiastic about supporting community organizations and volunteering. Others characterize Jennifer as friendly yet competitive, goal oriented yet focused on building strong relationships, and eager to support the missions of non-profit organizations.

Jennifer’s specialty is fund development, including individual giving through annual funds, major gifts, capital campaigns, and planned giving. Her strategy is relationship based which is evident in her belief that connecting donors to the mission of an organization and its programs will inspire their participation and philanthropy. She also has extensive experience in corporate and foundation giving, Board development, strategic planning, executive searches, and special events.

Most recently, Jennifer served as the Director of Development at Two River Theater in Red Bank, NJ. Prior to that, she served as the Director of Major Gifts at Barnard College in New York City and as the Regional Chief Development Officer for the American Red Cross, South Jersey Region – acting as the lead fundraiser after Super Storm Sandy which devastated much of her local community in Monmouth County, NJ.

Jennifer is a seasoned professional who has worked with a wide variety of organizations in the arts, education, healthcare, and human services. For many years, before joining the Red Cross, Jennifer worked as an independent consultant and was a Partner in the firm Anderson, Collins Lyttle & Van Winkle. In her consulting role, she worked with over 40 organizations in the Metro-NY area, including the Community Foundation of New Jersey, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Meridian Health, Monmouth Medical Center, Boys Towns of Italy, and other non-profits in NY and NJ.

Jennifer enjoys volunteering and is a past President of the Junior League of Monmouth County. For many years, she served on the Board of the Monmouth Arts Council and is currently a member of Impact 100 Jersey Coast. Jennifer and her husband, Joseph reside in Monmouth Beach, NJ. They have three adult children. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, gardening, reading, and the beach.
